Alex Is On Fire Hi there, long time, no news. Sorry about that, we were on holidays the last two weeks, but rest assured, we are now back in action. Lots of news lately, so here we go:

Alexisonfire have a new drummer. As you might know, drummer Jesse had to leave the rest of the gang touring a while ago for personal reasons. Nevertheless the band is happy to announce that their great friend, touring buddy and all round dude, Jordan Hastings will be playing the part of drummer in Alexisonfire. They toured with Jordan back when he was in the band, Jersey. Over the past few months he has become an even better friend and asset to Alexisonfire. Also, Alexisonfire are planning to come back to Germany this fall so keep your eyes open for any news coming up on that!

Solea are currently finishing up the recordings for the new album. Plane tickets are being purchased, cars are being rented, bags are being packed. Garrett is heading out to sunny LA June 18th to finish up the record. We'll hopefully have a new MP3 playing on Defiance Radio soon so make sure to check back regularly.
Also The National Anthems are currently recording for their new album in Moto Studios. Some pictures from the inside of the studio will be online on their homepage soon! Go check: www.the-national-anthems.com

We're currently working on releasing the new Kevin Devine album called "Split the Country, Split the Streets". The album will be available probably by the beginning of fall 2005, most likely in August! EngraveWe start on a melancholic note, as many of you may already know, ENGRAVE have parted ways after a five year journey through the halls of chaotic hardcore. Characteristically, they went out with a bang, saying goodbye to their fans in one last amazing performance at the Westside Unity Festival. It is especially sad to see them them go after such a kick-butt show. The band is survived by a brand new homepage: www.engrave-online.com. Be sure to check out this amazing work of art!

Two spanking new Defiance records have just hit the shelves of your local record store. KEVIN DEVINE's second full-length solo album, "Make the Clocks Move" is now available in stores. Kevin toured Germany an incredible five times in 2003, so show your appreciation and buy the new album so that he's sure to present his amazing talents for us again in 2004. Another great new album was released on Defiance in January, namely LIMBECK "Hi Everything is Great". This record offers the perfect soundtrack for a road trip, imagine the pop-child of a affair between the Weakerthans and Jets To Brazil. Pick up this great piece of music now and you'll be singing along by the start of spring.

PalePALE's "How to Survive Chance" was released in Japan on January 21st and the response so far has been astounding. Bad News Records are doing a great job promoting the record to our friends in the east. We just received some nice looking interviews from a couple of Japanese magazines. Let's hope that people like the band over there as much as you guys do here and that we'll soon be saying our goodbyes as the Pale Four take off for a Far East Tour. Thanks to everyone at Bad News for making this possible. To see what our friends at Bad News are up to, check out www.badnews.co.jp. Meanwhile, here in Europe the band is planning a March/April tour on which they'll be premiering some brand new material they've been working on the last few months. This is something you do not want to miss! For more info check out www.thepalefour.de.

StandstillSpain's very own STANDSTILL are just finishing up recording the follow-up to their sophomore effort, "Memories Collector", and we know we're not the only ones anxious to get our hands on the new material. Defiance and Target are currently planning a tour for our Spanish friends who will be returning to Germany to share their new songs on a May tour.

THE COALFIELD are happy to inform you that a brand new homepage is now online complete with two new tracks for your listening pleasure. Go to www.thecoalfield.de to download these tracks for free. While you're at it, check out the phat shirt you can order from these rockers, just drop us an e-mail or get in touch with us! You can find the design in our shop!

That's the word from Defiance HQ for now, but be sure to keep your eyes open for our two upcoming records due to be released very soon: HOPEFUL "Opposites" and THE COPPERPOT JOURNALS "Pilots".

Hi there, long time, no news. Sorry about that, we were on holidays the last two weeks, but rest assured, we are now back in action. Lots of news lately, so here we go:

The National Anthems leave to tour through Norway, Sweden, Germany and Austria today! If you couldn't catch them with the Mircale of 86 in August, be sure to do so now! If you did see them last summer, then you know you cannot miss the opportunity to see them again! Check our tour page for the dates, go see them and give 'em a "Hi", they are nice Sweds and willing to pay for beer.

One Man And His Droid are supporting the Weakerthans as we speak, having just played Amsterdam and Hasselt and will now conquer Germany alongside the Weakerthans. In case you don't have both The Weakerthan's and One Man And His Droid's records yet, run to your record store and get them, two great records that also make for perfect Christmas gifts!

Kevin Devine is back in Europe! Having played three shows with Dashboard Confessional earlier this fall to rave reviews, Kevin is back to play some more intimate shows. For those who didn't get tickets the first time 'round you now have the chance to see Kevin presenting material from his new record "Make the Clocks Move" due to be released January 19th. Can't wait until January to pick up the new album, fear not, they will be available at the shows. Just another great reason to get out and hear this haunting voice serrenade you live.

Limbeck have returned to Southern California after supporting the All American Rejects in the UK. Patrick from the Limbecks just dropped us a line saying that the shows were totally amazing, UK kids went crazy for them and they made a lot of new friends. We hope to have them over here on the mainland soon so you can check out for yourself. By the way, the record is out the same day as Kevin's new record, January 19th. Get this one too, we love it and hope you will too.

Three Minute Poetry just released some songs with UK-based Tribute To Nothing for a split CD released by our friends at Lockjaw Records in the UK. Check www.lockjawrecords.co.uk for more info.

If you haven't yet had the chance to become a part of the Pale Club, check out www.derpaleklub.de and become a Club member, easy as that. You'll find a ton of exclusive shit updated weekly, lots of pictures, downloads and so on. Also, the boys are currently preparing some exclusive Club Shirts that, as always, look great and make you look great, so drop into the Club and have fun.

If you haven't already heard, Pale singer, Holger, has been flying solo lately, under the name Il Motobecano. He just played his first shows on the Immergut-Tour together with bands like The Robocop Kraus and Miles' singer Tobias Kuhn/Monta, organised by the same nice people that put up Germany's best Open Air Festival, namely the Immergut Festival. If you want to check out how Holger's solo flight is going, check our download section for a song. More songs to come soon. Also, visit at www.ilmotobecano-machtmusik.de. If you have a chance catch him live supporting KEVIN DEVINE on December 14th @ the BLUE SHELL in Cologne (Koeln)!!!!

Pour yourself a glass of red wine to celebrate: Wedekind are back together! Forget all the nasty rumors you've heard! The Defiance offices just recieved word from Rainer and Edi that after an extended pause the boys are rehearsing with a new drummer and are gearing up for an early spring tour. We should be seeing the Austrian trio gracing all of Europe with their intellectual sex rock stage show in March or April 2004!

This is crazy! We just got the confirmation that KEVIN DEVINE will be supporting DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL on the only three shows in Germany!! We're super excited for Kevin!! Try the ticket hotline or ebay in case the show's sold out!!!!

Gameface as you and I know it has ended. This may come as a shock to some. Gameface has been a seminal band in the pop-rock community for the past 13 years. After releasing 12 records on 5 US labels, Gameface joined forces with Doghouse & Defiance Records to release "Four To Go" on July 28th, 2003. "Four To Go is our best record so far, and our reward for staying together as a band for all these years", Jeff stated about their last masterpiece Four To Go. Don't be sad. Know that you were in on the best kept secret in the indie music world for over a decade.
We will cherish their albums and always remember their energetic live shows.

We're still busy over here at the Defiance Headquarter and excited to let you know about our newest member of the Defiance Clan. Southern Californias very own LIMBECK, who will see their second album "Hi, everything is great!" released through us in Europe. If you're planning a road-trip, be sure to get your hands on this release as it is going to be your perfect soundtrack. Think of poppier Weakerthans, a touch of Jets To Brazil and you're ready to go. Ladies and Gentlemen start your engines and welcome LIMBECK. Check out a brand new song in our dowload section and visit www.hieverythingsgreat.com to stream the entire album. The band will hit the UK roads with All American Rejects before the end of the year. So stay tuned for more hot news from the Defiance front. Bo Selecta.
PS: Check our download section for a song from the album!

We are very pleased to inform you of our latest signing: HOPEFUL from Sant Feliu/Spain. The band just finished recording their debut full length "Opposites" with veteran producer Santi Garcia, who bands like Standstill and No More Lies credit as producer and who also just recorded the new One Man And His Droid album. "Opposites" is scheduled for a December 15th release on Defiance. We are stoked to have the band on board, this record is without a doubt one of the best to surface in Europe lately. You'll definitely want to check out Hopeful's brand new song in our Download Section. Spread the word, this band is going to kick your ass!

Jude The ObscureIn other news we are also thrilled to report that we've teamed up with the promising US-based label, One Day Savior, to release the debut album by JUDE THE OBSCURE in Europe on CD and LP. Titled "The Coldest Winter," this record is characterized by technical, metallic guitar riffs, thunderous, high-powered rhythms, and vocals that range from moving melodies to harsh, spastic screams. Watch out for these dangerous Canadians who, just starting out, have already heralded comparisons to bands like Converge, Cave In and Norma Jean.

More news on the Hardcore front. We will be releasing the vinyl version of the upcoming HASTE album, "The Mercury Lift" on November 3rd with the CD version available through Century Media Records. You will certainly be hearing more about this band in the weeks to come, so be sure to mark your calendar and start your turntable spinnin.'

One Man And His Droid ONE MAN AND HIS DROID are hitting the road again and will be playing a couple of shows throughout November to present their brand new record, PARTY PEOPLE, out October 27th. Check the Tour-Section for more details and be sure to get yourself and all your friends to at least one of these shows, you will not be disappointed.

We have just received the final recordings from both One Man And His Droid and The National Anthems and they, with no exageration, fucking rock. One Man presents a solid and attention grabbing follow up to their first record while the Anthems offer us their virginal recording that is sure to knock your socks off! From what we´ve heard so far, we're absolutely sure this band will kick your ass for the 2nd half of 2003, we just can't believe how amazing this band is!!! We're aiming for a late October release!

Face The EnemyYouth of Today just wrapped up their European tour and it seems like those boys enjoyed themselves just fine! Porcell of Never Surrender and Ken of Face The Enemy are planning to hit the road with their new bands in January next year! This package will surely kick ass live, so make sure to book a show in your town! MAD from Berlin will book the tour so get in touch with Marc or Ute if you wanna have them play your town!

Defiance Records is looking for a few good men or women. Hopefully in the form of young ambitious music lovers who have some extra time on their hands to be our little office slaves, uh, I mean interns. We hate to admit it, but we need help, and you could gain valuable experience in the music industry, not to mention mad street cred by interning at Defiance! For detailed info on how to apply click here!

Hey Kids, check two demo-versions of new Piebald songs here: www.piebald.com

Interns wanted starting August 1st 2003! Click here for more info!

Solea is going east, far east. They join Bodyjar and our friends, the Donots to tour Japan! They head off to the land of the red sun with a few changes to the usual line-up, bass player Niko has left the band and has been replaced by Joe Orlando (of Buried Alive) and drummer Johnny, will not be able to make it to Japan due to his prior Samiam commitments. Dave Chmielewski will instead be hitting the skins. Once the Solea boys have thouroughly rocked every ass in Japan, they join a tour with Hey Mercedes and Sensefield across the United States. Meanwhile you will be able to see Sergie and Johnny with Samiam on some european festivals in Germany...

Ckeck the Piebald live video at www.thirde.com! Thanks to David!

Two weeks in a Barcelona studio were obviously well spent by One Man and His Droid, as we were quick to notice when greeted by their smiling, not to mention tanned, faces at the airport last Saturday. Having worked with Santi in producer's chair, the Droid crew promise to deliver another masterpeice with the follow-up to their debut full-length album, including some surprises that even us, the Defiance gang, are not yet privy to. Their studio escapades will not be a mystery much longer as the Man brought a camera into the studio and the footage will appear on the CD version of the upcoming album.

The National Anthems entered the studio Sunday the 11th to begin laying down tracks for their highly anticipated debut album. Our Swedish friends are in good hands in RFM Studios in Karlstad with producer Ola Sonmark leading the way. With the working title, "The Calm Before the Storm", we are certain that anything but a calm is to follow this release. The buzz has begun and I for one can not wait to hear what these boys have laid down and neither should you! We might not have to wait all too much longer as rumors are circulating that the Anthems will be playing a handful of dates this summer. Nothing is confirmed as of yet, but keep your fingers crossed that we can pull them out of the Elk-lands to play for us.

Three Minute Poetry have just returned to the continent after their first UK Tour and we're happy to report success! These German Poets were well recieved by the Brits with the tour coming to a climax in Worcestor with nearly 500 scensters rocking out to TMP.

The Copperpot Journals have just finished their first studio session for their upcoming album to be released through Defiance in cooperation with Firefly Recordings in the UK (check www.fireflyrecordings.com). They will be finishing up the record starting early June and we should have some stuff to listen to by then...

The Coalfield have returned from a successful, though not without hurdles, Rock-Sound sponsored UK Tour with Jarcrew, Million Dead and The Murder Of Rosa Luxemburg. Their van broke down before they even got to England, drummer Holger sprained his ankle, and they had to back out of two shows - but these twists of fate simply provided them with inspiration which they are now channelling into new material. We had the chance to listen to three new tracks and needless to say we are impressed. No studio dates have been booked as of yet, but a follow-up album is in the works - just stay tuned to Defiance to get the latest!

Contrary to popular belief, IKEA and the Hives are not the only things Sweden has to offer. Defiance has found five Swedes more than worthy of paying attention to, the National Anthems! Just two weeks ago, we sealed the deal and Defiance is now proud to welcome the National Anthems to our little family. We are all super psyched to add this four-piece to our roster and without exageration, we are confident that they are on their way to becoming one of the leading European indie rockers of 2003!
Download the MP3 of "unknown road" to satisfy your appetite until the full length is released in July. Also check their website at www.the-national-anthems.com.

Defiance Records has overlooked the longstanding football rivalry between Germany and England, at least until the Euro 2004, to sign our first English band, the Copperpot Journals! Poppy indie vocals meet dynamic beats with a twist. Having shared a stage with Pale in the UK, the Defiance team saw this amazing band live and knew immediately that we could not afford to overlook this potent quartet. As we speak, they're in the studio recording their debut full length which we will be releasing in cooperation with Firefly Records in the UK. Check out the their new demo song in our MP3 section!

Mark your calenders! Defiance Records is celebrating our 50th release with the upcoming Engrave full-length. Piebald, Standstill, Waterdown, Somehow Hollow and Mournful will be helping Engrave and Defiance to commemorate this historic event in the life of Defiance Records on the third of May!!! The show will be held at the Büze Ehrenfeld in Köln. Doors open at 18.00h. Get your tickets at the Underdog Records in Köln or check www.underdogrecordstore.de, where you can also get all the info you need for our upcoming shows.

The Piebald tour has kicked off in the United Kingdom and is off to a ...let's just say, an interesting start. After waiting two hours in London for their driver, they found that their tour van had been towed and had to pay 105 pounds to retrive it topped off with a 40 pound ticket. Regardless of this rocky start, the boys are in good spirits, in their own words, "we are ready to take over the UK." They of course have good have reason for their optimism as the entire UK leg of the tour with the Movielife has already been sold out. Give these boys a good reason to keep their spirits high and come out to see them when they come to your town! Defiance is giving you another good reason to come out to the show (as if there weren't already enough!!!). You can win an amazing package of free Defiance shit (cd's, t-shirts, etc.) just by seeing Piebald live! Check out this link for details. Check for dates here!

Also coming soon to Germany are Barcelona bad boys, Standstill. Those of you who have caught them on tour in the past know what a truly mind blowing live show these guys put on. And again, don't forget that you might have a chance to the Defiance swag pack by coming to a Standstill show, just check out the High Five contest. Check for dates here!

Not seen in Europe since the early '90's, Gameface are returning for their long awaited second tour. Not unlike their first tour, which many have already forgotten, they seem to be practically teasing us with just six dates in total. They will play three shows in the UK, Amsterdam, the Groetzrock fest in Belgium, and then will go out with a bang as they play Köln on their last date.
Tickets are still available and can be purchased at Underdog Records in Köln or at www.underdogrecordstore.de. Gameface have been in constant contact with Defiance Records and have promised to give us a taste of their new material as well as those hits we can't forget. Check for dates here!

Having recorded the album in December, Wedekind are ready to release "The End of My Heartbeat," naturally on Defiance Records. There will be a record release party at the Chelsea in Viena on May 8th and the album will officially be released in Austria on the 5th. Wedekind will then bring their dark yet sexy beats throughout their native country as they make a small Austrian tour. The album will then be released in Germany on June 2nd. Be sure to treat your ears and mind to thier intellectual brit-pop, indie rock, new wave sounds.

After Defiance artist, Kevin Devine's distinctive and haunting voice lulabied us throughout January and February on his European tour, we at Defiance decided we needed more! And so, we've struck up a liscensing deal with Lakeshore Records to release the work of the slightly edgier, rock side of Kevin, namely the Miracle of '86. Kevin was with the Miracle before embarking on his solo projects so we're happy to round things up and have both on our roster. Check out one of their songs at the MP3 section to satiate yourself until the record is released on June 2nd.

Following a few warm up shows in Germany, The Coalfield are off to the UK for the first time to take up the invitation offered to them by Rock Sound Magazine to join three other up and coming British bands on a Rock Sound sponsored tour. Also on their way to the British Isles is Three Minute Poetry who, still on a high from playing to 3,000 kids with Sum 41 in Köln, are ready to rock out! Check for dates here!

Bad news this time: The whole Gloria Record / Wedekind tour has been cancelled! But we'll try to bring Wedekind on tour as soon as possible!

We´re super thrilled to add Gameface to the Defiance family!!! Their new album will be released in Europe this summer but the band are coming to Europe to tease us with just 6 dates, giving us a sneak peak at their new songs. Defiance Records is proud to welcome the newest, and first Austrian member of the Defiance Family, Wedekind! Deriving influences from alternative-indie, post-hc and british pop-rock, Wedekind is not your average emo pop rock band! With a commitment to the political and philisophical ideals this band knows how to rock out with a message. The combination of incindiary lyrics and steady beats will get your head bobbing! Check it out for yourself, you can download the mp3 here. Having received widespread airplay on Austrian FM4 radio, Wedekind drew even more attention when nominated for "Alternative Act of the Year" at the Austrian Amadeus Music Awards: all of this before they have even released a full length. But never fear! The full length will be out on Defiance Records in March 2003! Check out www.wedekind.at for more band info!

Also check out the new Pale shirt design in our shop! As usual, you can order it thru Green Hell.

As you may have read down in the news section, the german TV Station SAT1 was supposed to show a Pale feature on Nov. 30th. We just got the info that the feature will be shown Dec. 31th. So if on new years eve, you don't know what to do catch them on Sat1. There still will be an interview and live shots as well as Pale Stuff to win...

And the winner is... After weeks of sorting through countless entries, we have found the Ultimate Pale Fan. Well, actually five of them. Alexander Jacob (Erkrath) and Thomas Hoffer (Wien) have demonstrated their vast Pale knowledge and proved themselves worthy of the Eastpack Pale Messenger Bag. Right behind them were Sybille Borth (Berlin), Uli Eulenbruch (Brühl) and Andre Gaul (Mechernich) who will recieve Eastpack cd bags. Have fun guys!!!

Everybody who receives the German TV channel SAT1 should check out the show featuring Pale on Nov. 30th. The show is scheduled to air at midnight and catches Pale on their recent gig in Hamburg. Also Shirts and CDs will be given away during the broadcasting so better get comfy in front of your TV!

Check out those two new mp3s from the upcoming Never Surrender / Face The Enemy split lp cd:

Face The Enemy not a chance (1:45 min / 1.6 mb).
Never Surrender indestructible (3:43 min / 3.4 mb).

Never Surrender is Porcell's (Youth of Today, Shelter, Judge, Project X) brandnew band crossing the sound of Judge and Inside Out: moshing, pissed off and angry hardcore with the guys from American Nightmare on back-up vocals. Face the Enemy is a new oldschool straightedge outfit, with members of Better than a Thousand and Tim from Mouthpiece/ Hands Tied singing. Kids, this split CD/LP will be the first release in 2003 to rock your ass!!!! Both bands will also kick out a following full length album later... so make sure to check back for those promising releases...

Hey guys, if you still wanna vote for Pale's video "goodbye trouble" on Viva+ check this link www.vivaplus.tv/rock.html
Multiple votes are more than welcome of course!!!

Check out our Pale contest and get the chance to win a free Pale Eastpak messenger bag!!

Kevin Devine is touring Europe together with Vagrant artists Koufax early next year for three weeks. Stay tuned for the tourdates!

We are happy to announce after minor investigations, that the rumors about a break up of Coheed & Cambria are wrong. Reliable sources at Equal Vision Records confirmed that the band just needed a break from constant touring. Luckily for the kids, it seems that serious plans for a European Tour are being made at the minute. Stay tuned, this amazing band may come over soon with Finch!

One Man and His Droid are about to enter the studio to record some demo versions for their upcoming second album scheduled to be released early 2003. We all are excited to hear the result, the band has spoken of a ''more Rock'' album...

You may have already heard that Ambrose, a band that´s been with Defiance since the beginning, have decided to call its quits, sad news to follow the breakup of another great band, Reno Kid. Still just before they broke up Ambrose recorded 5 songs which are to be released later this year on a limited CDep.

Better news for River City High. This week they signed to MCA, a company that houses the likes of Midtown, New Found Glory,... Happy for them, they will get huge now...

If you check Piebald's Homepage at www.piebald.com you will find some Gore Action going on: pictures of Travis' throat injury. This looks nasty. Reliable sources have told us, that Travis is going incognito right now, wearing long hair and a beard. Anyways, Piebald will be touring Europe again early next year which is great!

We got all the designs from those shirts sold through Green Hell shown in our shop now! Take a look cause Green Hell doesn´t show the nice colors of our designs and shirts!

Hi everybody, check out the Defiance Label Special on www.greenhell.de - you´ll find most of our releases at super cheap prices, just follow the link from the catalog to the "label special". They also sell some really nice and some extremly limited shirts from Piebald, Ambrose, Joshua etc. - have fun ordering!

The Coalfield are selling new shirts on their homepage as well - check this out, they rock!

If you check our news section regulary, you may have noticed that there are mostly Pale news coming up... Yes it's true, Pale are the band of the hour, working harder than ever to promote their new record out on Defiance since early August.

First step on their extended Tour will be Austria. The band is excited to go
down there for the first time to play three shows. There will be some promo
activities such as a Radio Interview on one of Austria's biggest Radio
Station FM4 and an instore gig at Viennas Virgin MegaStore October 12th. If
you live in Vienna and have the chance to come down to the show, this will
be a funny new experience...

We want to thank the entire P.A.M-Records staff who will take care of Pale while cruising down there. Thank you Sandra and Thomas for your help.

Here are the three Austrian Dates:
10.10.02 Wien / Arena - P.A.M Records Festival
11.10.02 Aflenz-Steiermark / Sublime
12.10.02 Allensteig - Avalon

After a short break of five days, the band will hit the road again for one month. The "Say Yeah-Tour 2002" will cover the entire german country as well as a short trip to Switzerland. As mentioned before, Beezewax will be supporting Pale half of the Tour. We already want to thank Philipp at DEAG, Humberto at Rocky Beach Club and Stefan at DeepDive Switzerland for booking that tour. This will be a blast. Hope you will be part of it...

Check out the Tour Section for all Dates.

Standstill will release their latest album "memories collector" in the US through Silverthree Records - so if you live in the USA get in touch with them! Standstill rocks!

Having finally wrapped up the postponed tour of Europe with the Beatsteaks, River City High is now back on their Homeground to start a full US-Tour with shows supported by Coheed & Cambria. The entire Defiance Staff and River City High sends a 'Thank You' to the Beatsteaks (Arnim, Peter, Thomas, Bernde and Torsten) and Robby for the opportunity to support one of the best bands in Europe. Thanks to Klaus, our driver for getting us from one place to another and taking care of us like a daddy. This tour was a great way for the band to prove themselves in front of a bigger crowd, and the response was amazing! So thanks to everyone who supported River City High, freaking out at the show and buying the CD.

Demoing their album live to 2 track in the next month.
They plan to record the actual album in August for Jade Tree Records at a to be named studio & producer. They will tour Europe this summer, and the US in the Fall. In Europe they'll release 3 singles as a singles-series on Defiance Records starting with the first cd e.p./7" in June/July 2001. Watch out!!!

n e w s > 07.05.01

Sorry, but as you might have heard, the complete production of the new Ambrose full-length CD/LP has been fucked up in the pressing-plant so that we´ll have to repress them all.
That might take another two or three weeks, so please don´t be mad at us - it´s not our fault! We´re totally upset about this too but we´ll try to have them here as soon as possible!
Wait for the next newsletter and if you haven´t signed up yet, please do so. Thanks!

n e w s > 07.05.01

we got the layout for the upcoming three minute poetry record. you can also download a new mp3 to get a taste of this record.
> engrave will hit the studio again to record some compilation tracks! and besides, new engrave and pale t-shirts are available! check out their websites!

n e w s > 26.04.01

The new Ambrose is out now!!! We´ve got one song to download on our page if you wish to get an idea of what all this hype is about!! Again André MacLiegel did the layout for this release!! The vinyl will be limited to 500 copies only so make sure to get one of them.

Pale just returned from their UK-Tour in to find their video-clip of "teenage heaven" on VIVA2 2RockCharts (German music television channel) at Number 1 - believe it or not!! This is amazing!!! They had an excellent time in England supporting Bluetip on two shows in Kingston and Manchester.

There already two new bands that will release their records with us. Three Minute Poetry will release their CD/LP probably some time in the middle of 2001 and One Man And His Droid from northern Germany will also hit the studio some time later this year to record their full-length release for Defiance Records. Right now we´ve already two preview-downloads for you on our homepage so make sure to check out what to expect!

The Good Clean Fun 7" will have to wait some more time to be released but the band decided to have four unreleased songs on it instead of only two, so it should be worth the wait. They will record the songs in the same session as for the new full-length.

Engrave are now a four-piece again and writing new songs for their full-length on Defiance Records.

Todiefor are planning to record some demo-songs for their upcoming full-length album within the next months and look out for a tour later this year.
